- Taking a holy dip in the Godavari River and arriving at the designated worship site during the Brahma Muhurta (auspicious pre-dawn period)
- Sankalp: A formal declaration made before the Divine, stating one’s name, *gotra* (lineage), family details, and the purpose of the ritual
- Ganesh Puja: Invoking Lord Ganesha to remove any obstacles that might arise during the course of the rituals
